Snap.Startr.Cloud is a visual computer programming language aimed at learners of all ages. Inspired by Scratch from the Lifelong Kindergarten Group at the MIT Media Lab, it is a welcoming space for everyone. This service is provided by Startr.Team with assistance from the University of California, Berkeley, supported by the National Science Foundation, the MioSoft Corporation, and SAP. Our goal is to foster a friendly, safe, and inclusive community.

Use of the Software

Snap.Startr.Cloud is a free software, licensed under the GNU Affero General Public License. It allows unlimited use for any purpose, but modified versions must be shared under the same terms, including source code provision. To access the source code, visit our Github repository. No personal information or user account is required to use Snap.Startr.Cloud. Please refer to our privacy policy for details. Disrupting others' use of the site through unauthorized actions, such as denial of service attacks, is strictly prohibited.

Private Use of Our Cloud Storage

Account holders can store their Snap.Startr.Cloud projects on our cloud server, either privately or for public sharing. Private projects are considered non-published and confidential. However, we may set limits on storage use, and the server is intended solely for programming-related media.

Public Posting of Projects

Projects can be either 'shared' or 'published'. Shared projects are accessible via a URL, while published projects are displayed on our website. Publicly shared projects fall under the Creative Commons Attribution-NonCommercial-ShareAlike License. Projects must not contain offensive material or violate U.S. laws, including those regarding hate speech and copyright. Personal attacks, hate speech, and copyrighted material are strictly prohibited. Repeat violations may lead to account removal.

No Liability

By using Snap.Startr.Cloud, you agree that Startr.Team and the University of California provide no warranty. We do not take responsibility for potential damage to your computer or for data usage overages on mobile devices. Users are advised to use a secure and cost-effective internet connection while accessing our services.
